Collaboration Offers a Total IP-Based Solution
to Pacnet's Corporate Customers in ThailanAAAAAAA> SINGAPORE, Feb. 7 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pacific Internet Limited (PacNet) (Nasdaq: PCNTF), Asia Pacific's largest telco-independent Internet Communications Service Provider by geographic reach, today announced that Pacific Internet (Thailand) Limited, its Thai subsidiary, and Cisco Systems (Cisco) are collaborating to offer Thailand's first total IP-based solution for small-and-medium sized businesses (SMBs). With this tie-up, PacNet is able to offer a total managed services security solution to corporate customers, as well as to enhance its own core network infrastructure. Pacific Internet Thailand is the third PacNet office across the seven countries to enter into this agreement with Cisco, with both Australia and Singapore operations having entered into similar arrangements previously.
As part of a launch promotion, the new service, known as PacNet ICONNECT Gold, is a total managed service offering packaged with PacNet's secured connectivity and Cisco routers, with no upfront hardware costs. The new managed service provides a range of SMB-friendly features including installation and configuration set-up by technical experts, hardware maintenance, and a monitoring service that includes free alerts via SMS and emails in the event of any outages.
